Jealsa Corporation has contributed important investment to minimize the impact of the activity on the environment.
Wind power is a clean and inexhaustible source of energy, which uses the wind to generate electricity. In addition, it increases a country’s energy self-sufficiency, this is to say, it reduces its energy dependence on others (mainly petroleum, coal and natural gas).
Jealsa participates in the exploitation of Wind Farms that add an installed capacity of 190 MW. The electricity generated every year by these facilities amounts to 426 GWh. This production is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 122,000 households.
Water management is another key aspect in our production process and our industry is constantly adapting to reduce or reuse water. For this, closed cooling systems and other methods have been created to give water different uses before the final treatment. This represents a daily saving of approximately 2,100 m3, which is equivalent to the daily water consumption of 15,900 people.
