These principles are focused on various activities, such as Pharmacy, Human Nutrition, Pet Nutrition or Sustainable Fisheries.
IT IS A QUESTION OF RESPONSIBILITY
Once the fish arrives at our premises for processing, it is a matter of responsibility to give it maximum use. Only highly selected parts of the fish are used in the production process of our products and we have to find new uses for the other parts. This does not mean that those parts of the fish are nutritionally inferior, we simply need to find new uses for them.
CIRCULAR ECOSYSTEM
We have an adapted traceability system that enables us to meet our customers’ requirements and current food safety regulations.
This ecosystem is made up of companies such as Pet Select, Conresa, Valora Marine Ingredients, and other companies where the Jealsa Group holds shares in.
These companies daily receive raw materials which they transform into high-quality products meeting the needs of highly developed industries, such as aquaculture, pet food or even functional ingredients.
Jealsa has developed a by-product recovery ecosystem within the European fish processing industry.
Thanks to our recovery ecosystem and the application of marine biorefinery techniques, we work to maximize the use of the raw materials that arrive at our facilities.
All of our raw materials come from sources that allow us to control traceability from fishing to the end consumer, using only technologies that respect the product and the environment in the industrial phase.
