JEALSA HAS REDUCED SINGLE-USE PLASTICS BY 50% WITHIN THE COMPANY.
With this reduction, Jealsa has managed to use 50% less single-use plastics than the average level of the sector.
Between 50 and 60% of processed tuna in the world is made from loins bagged in plastic. With the aim of reducing single-use plastics, the company has internally established high-impact measures to reduce by half single-use plastics originating from tuna loins in the last year, which is over 50% less than the average level of the sector.
The company has started an ambitious plan to completely replace single-use plastics in all processes in all the factories as a step further within its global commitment to sustainability.
